Strategy-driven trading automation

Turn your trading strategy into a controlled automated system

Already trading by hand? We translate your rules into a custom bot that can be tested, monitored and—when you are ready and permitted—connected to an execution venue. AI or ML is included where it serves your strategy, not added for its own sake.

Your strategy remains the starting point

Share the rules you follow manually: entry and exit conditions, instruments, position sizing, trading hours, stop conditions and exceptions. We turn these into an explicit specification before building. If a signal genuinely needs a predictive model, we can evaluate an AI/ML component separately from deterministic execution and risk controls.

From manual trades to automation

A staged build makes behavior easier to inspect before live use.

01

Define the rules

Document signals, data sources, order logic, exceptions and the conditions under which the bot must stop.

02

Test the logic

Run historical and out-of-sample tests with transaction costs and slippage assumptions, then review failure cases rather than only headline results.

03

Paper trade

Observe signals and simulated orders in real time to compare expected behavior with market and broker data.

04

Connect execution

Integrate with a suitable broker or exchange API where access and approvals permit, with position limits, alerts and a manual stop.

05

Monitor and improve

Track orders, errors, model behavior and strategy changes through logs and reviewable deployment steps.

AI

Use ML selectively

Where relevant, assess model-driven signals against simpler rules and keep evaluation separate from live execution controls. See our MLOps approach.

Controls are part of the build

  • Position, exposure and order-rate limits defined with you
  • Paper-trading and staged deployment before live execution
  • Logging, alerts, manual override and a clear shutdown path
  • Broker API, exchange and jurisdiction requirements reviewed during scoping

Important: Cigma Solutions develops software around a client-defined strategy. We do not provide investment advice, manage funds, recommend trades or guarantee returns. Backtests and model outputs do not predict future performance. Live deployment depends on applicable broker, exchange and regulatory requirements; for Indian securities markets, see SEBI's retail algorithmic trading framework.

Common questions

Can you automate a strategy I currently trade manually?

Yes. We begin by converting your documented rules and exceptions into a specification that can be tested. Ambiguous discretionary decisions must be clarified before full automation.

Does every trading bot need AI or ML?

No. Many strategies are better expressed as deterministic rules. We consider ML only when there is a clear signal to evaluate and sufficient suitable data.

Can you connect the bot to my broker?

Potentially, if the broker offers suitable API access and the proposed workflow meets its terms and applicable market rules. We confirm feasibility during scoping.

Will the bot be profitable?

No result can be promised. Our development work focuses on faithful strategy implementation, testing, controls and observability; trading risk remains with the strategy owner.

Have a strategy you want to automate?

Tell us what you trade, which decisions are still manual and which broker or data source you use. We will help define a feasible technical scope.
